U.S. Kids Golf Academies
U.S. Kids Golf Academies were founded with the idea that there is a better way to help young players, particularly beginners, enjoy golf.
Combining all aspects of engaging young golfers, learned from more than 20 years in leading the world in kids golf, U.S. Kids Golf Academies address every aspect of junior golf knowledge and development. Academies are designed to develop players in a way that makes golf a lifelong pursuit while providing confidence in parents that time spent at an academy is a worthy endeavor for their player.
U.S. Kids Golf Academies are different because:
- Kids are provided complimentary club fitting and use of equipment while in class.
- All academies are run by award-winning coaches who have attained the highest levels of certification in youth golf coaching.
- Each academy develops players using the Player Pathway program, which allows players of every level to progress at their own pace with clear goals and rewards.
- Academies employ a games-based learning method that emphasizes the all-important “fun factor”, making skill development enjoyable and permanent.
- Classes are run in groups but provide significant individual attention.
- Communication with parents is an integral part of the learning process.
When the first U.S. Kids Golf Academy opened at Longleaf Golf & Family Club, the facility had an aging membership with virtually no young players, no learning center building, and outdated practice facilities. The Academy program soon enrolled over 500 players within four years and now offers a state-of-the-art teaching center that not only provides students all the benefits of technology and data but has become an important resource for coaches around the world to visit and learn best practices in developing young players.
The Foundation hopes to replicate this success throughout the country and the world to provide more families lifetime experiences through golf, while also growing our great game.
