Where it all began – Jekyll Island Golf Club was the site of the inaugural U.S. Kids Golf World Championship in 2000. Since 2004, it has hosted our oldest Regional Championship – the Jekyll Island Cup. Families travel to Jekyll every year to reconnect with friends, compete in a championship event and experience everything the island has to offer. The island offers family-friendly activities off the course, including more than 20 miles of bike trails, paddleboard and kayak rentals, and the Georgia Sea Turtle Center.

Past champions include LPGA winner Lexi Thompson (2004) and 2013 Women’s Amateur Public Links runner-up Cindy Feng (2007). Several of today’s young professionals also won the Jekyll Island Cup during their U.S. Kids Golf careers, such as Georgia’s Lee McCoy (2004), Alabama's Robby Shelton (2006, 2007), Stanford’s Mariah Stackhouse (2006, 2007) and Clemson’s Ashlan Ramsey (2008).
