Registration Information for Texas Open 2018
Qualified players with Burgundy, Green, Orange and Blue Status will receive an invitation based on the schedule below. Please note that receiving an invitation does not guarantee a player’s spot, as entries into all events are subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. General Registration closes on May 7th at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Qualified players will be unlocked and eligible to register at 3:30 PM Eastern Time on the dates below. The invitation will accompany the event-unlock. A player's age on April 30, 2018 will determine his/her age group for the duration of the event.
*Open Application
The open application entry period begins March 13, 2018. During the Open Application period, all persons that have met the scoring requirement may apply to enter the Texas Open. If you do not have Priority Status but would like to request entry, please submit a Regional Application for your player.
** Late Registration
During the late registration period, an additional $15 will be added to the registration fee. Players that sign up during the late registration period will not receive an opportunity to purchase a last name for their caddie bib and will be listed at the end of their age group, instead of alphabetically, on the scoreboard. All late registrants should visit the event homepage to view all important player information.
Cost
$255 for 9-hole players and $299 for 18-hole players (includes tournament rounds, tee gifts, family night and awards). The official practice round is not included in the entry fee.
Practice Rounds
Practice rounds (not included in entry fee) may be scheduled (30) days in advance for May 11th by contacting the proshop of the course you will be playing. Apple Rock (830) 598-6561 or Slick Rock (830) 598-2561. Apple Rock will be closed for maintenance on Thursday, May 10th in preparation for the USKG event unfortunately. The practice facilities will be open.
NOTE: Horseshoe Bay is a resort and private club, so public play rounds other than the designated practice round date are not available to non-hotel guests unless accompanied by a member.
Junior Golf Scoreboard
U.S. Kids Golf reports scores from eligible age groups to Junior Golf Scoreboard. To be eligible, an age group must complete 36 holes from a distance equal to or longer than the course’s shortest rated tee, be at least 4,500 yards, and have 5 or more players. If a group has less than 5 players, two age groups’ yardages will be combined and submitted together as one age group.
Boys 13-14, Boys 12, Boys 11, Girls 13-14 are eligible for Junior Golf Scoreboard ranking at the 2018 Texas Open.
