Event Information

The 6th annual U.S. Kids Golf South American Championship will take place in the heart of Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro, considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. All players will have the opportunity to play the famous Olympic Golf Course. Gil Hanse specifically designed the course to host the 2016 Olympic Games and has tested the best golfers in the world. It will be a great combination for families mixing great golf and landscape. The beginning of the summer will be perfect for enjoying the beautiful beaches of Barra da Tijuca where the course is located.

The South American Championship offers young golfers aged 5-18 the opportunity to compete in a multi-day championship event and qualify for U.S. Kids Golf Priority Status. By earning different levels of Priority Status, players can qualify for other U.S. Kids Golf Major Championships including Regional, International, and World or World Teen Championships.

Tournament Age Date & Priority Status Info

The Tournament Age Date for the 2024 South American Championship is October 31, 2024. This will determine a player's age group for the duration of the event. Priority Status earned from this event will be active from February 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026. For more information, visit our Priority Status homepage.
