South American Championship 2025

The 7th Annual U.S. Kids Golf South American Championship will be held in the heart of Brazil—Rio de Janeiro, one of the most stunning and iconic cities in the world. All participants will have the unique opportunity to compete at the renowned Olympic Golf Course, a masterpiece designed by Gil Hanse specifically for the 2016 Olympic Games. This world-class venue has challenged the game’s top professionals and promises an unforgettable experience for young golfers. With the championship taking place at the start of summer, families can enjoy not only exceptional golf but also the breathtaking beaches of Barra da Tijuca, where the course is located. It’s the perfect blend of competition, scenery, and family enjoyment.
The South American Championship offers young golfers aged 5-18 the opportunity to compete in a multi-day championship event and qualify for U.S. Kids Golf Priority Status. By earning different levels of Priority Status, players can qualify for other U.S. Kids Golf Major Championships including Regional, International, and World or World Teen Championships.

Tournament Age Date & Priority Status Info
The Tournament Age Date for the 2025 South American Championship is October 31, 2025. This will determine a player's age group for the duration of the event. Priority Status earned from this event will be active from February 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027. For more information, visit our Priority Status homepage.
Junior Golf Scoreboard & WAGR
The South American Championship is a 3-day event
- Junior Golf Scoreboard recognizes it as a ranked event. Boys 13 and up will be eligible if all the requirements are met.
- World Amateur Golf Ranking will recognize it as a ranked event for Boys and Girls 15-18.
