Event Information

U.S. Kids Golf is excited to announce the 8th annual South American Championship, which will be held for the first time in Brazil’s capital city, Brasília. The event will take place at the prestigious Brasília Golf Club, a course designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr.—one of the most influential golf course architects in history and the designer of the only course in Brazil bearing his signature.

Set against the backdrop of Brasília’s iconic architecture and natural beauty, the championship layout promises an unforgettable test of golf. This year’s event offers a unique combination of world-class competition and an exceptional family experience, making it a truly special occasion for players and their families alike.

The South American Championship offers young golfers aged 5-18 the opportunity to compete in a multi-day championship event and qualify for U.S. Kids Golf Priority Status. By earning different levels of Priority Status, players can qualify for other U.S. Kids Golf Major Championships including Regional, International, and World or World Teen Championships.

Tournament Age Date & Priority Status Info

The Tournament Age Date for the 2026 South American Championship is October 31, 2026. This will determine a player's age group for the duration of the event. Priority Status earned from this event will be active from February 1, 2027 through January 31, 2028. For more information, visit our Priority Status homepage.

Junior Golf Scoreboard & WAGR

The South American Championship is a 3-day event

• Junior Golf Scoreboard recognizes it as a ranked event. Boys 11 and up and Girls 13 and up will be eligible if all the requirements are met.
• World Amateur Golf Ranking will recognize it as a ranked event for Boys and Girls 13-18.
