The Big 5 South African Open 2026

Event Information
The 7th annual Big 5 South African Open will take place at the superb Magalies Park Golf Resort. The course lies on the banks of Hartbeespoort Dam and is cradled by the Magaliesberg Mountains, making it some of the most picturesque golf courses in the region.
Magalies Park is one of South Africa's Premier Resorts that has the bonus of being right in the center of a declared bird sanctuary.
The Big 5 South African Open offers young golfers the opportunity to compete in a multi-day International Partner event and qualify for U.S. Kids Golf Priority Status. By earning different levels of Priority Status, players can qualify for other U.S. Kids Golf Major Championships including Regional, International, and World or World Teen Championships.

Tournament Age Date & Priority Status Info
The Tournament Age Date for the 2026 Big 5 South African Open is March 31, 2026. This will determine a player's age group for the duration of the event. Priority Status earned from this event will be active from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. For more information, visit our Priority Status homepage.
Junior Golf Scoreboard & WAGR
The Big 5 South African Openl is a 3-day event
- Junior Golf Scoreboard recognizes it as a ranked event. Boys 12 and up and Girls 15-18 and up will be eligible if all the requirements are met.
- World Amateur Golf Ranking will recognize it as a ranked event for Boys and Girls 15-18.
