Dress Code

Men and boys will need a jacket and tie for the event as it is needed for clubhouse access. The dress code for the competition will be "smart golf/casual attire." No cargo shorts will be permitted at any venue. Denim is not permitted, as both clubhouse and course access will be denied. Tennis shoes may not be permitted at some facilities. Caps and hats should always be removed indoors at all facilities. Please review the specific dress codes for each venue before arriving (information will be available prior to the event).

Weather Information

The weather in Scotland in late May is unpredictable. Warm weather gear is necessary for the Championship. Conditions can range from 70 degrees and sunny to 40 degrees with rain. Players and caddies will need rain suits, wind shirts, umbrellas, towels, hand warmers and sunblock.

Transportation Information

Gullane, East Lothian, Scotland is located approximately 20 miles east of Edinburgh. It is recommended to fly into Edinburgh and then rent a car for the drive to Gullane. You should check with your insurance provider as to your coverage while driving a rental car in Scotland.

It is also recommended to check with your cell phone provider about your coverage when traveling internationally.
