Selection Procedures For 2020:
European Van Horn Cup participants will be selected based on score after 36 holes (Round 2). Once 36-hole scores are compiled, the European Van Horn Cup selections and alternate list will be published. Selected players will be able to pick up a special European Van Horn Cup caddie bib before Round 3.
Format: Team Best Ball Stroke Play
This is a match in which two players play their better ball against the better ball of two other players. The 18-hole team stroke total will determine the winner of the match.

The 2019 European Van Horn Cup saw the International side retain the title for the seventh consecutive year by a final score of 7–3.
Each year, the boys and girls pairings with the lowest rounds in the European Van Horn Cup are awarded the Morrison Medal, named in honor of the late Sir Garth Morrison, who was Lord Lieutenant for East Lothian, and his wife Lady Gill Morrison.
In the girls' age groups, two International pairs posted rounds of 10-under 62 to claim two points for their team, as well as Morrison Medal honors.
The duo of Isabella Dovhey (USA) and Lavanya Gupta (India) went bogey-free in the match of 11-year olds to secure the first point of the day for the Internationals.
In the 15-18 age group, Pia Babnik (Slovenia) and Pia Perthen (Austria) made 11 birdies on their way to a victory, inching the Internationals closer to the title.
The International side took home Morrison Medal honors on the boys’ side as well.
Graden Lomax (USA) and Filip Grave (Sweden) fired an 11-under 61 to edge out a one-shot victory for the International team in the boys 10 age group.
Sihan Sandu (USA) and Jaka Babnik (Slovenia) made nine birdies and an eagle to fire 11-under 61 in the 13-year old age group, securing a decisive Cup victory for the International squad.
Overview:
Following the three-day championship, the European Van Horn Cup, a one-day best ball tournament, is contested between the top players from Western Europe and the top players from the rest of the world. The top two finishers from Western Europe and the top two finishers from international countries in the Boys 10, Boys 11, Boys 12, Boys 13, Boys 14 and Boys 15-18 age groups qualify for their respective teams. The top two finishers from Western Europe and the top two finishers from International Countries in the Girls 11, Girls 12, Girls 13-14 and Girls 15-18 qualify for their respective teams.
The Western Europe team is comprised of: Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Switzerland, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
The International team is made up of players from all the other countries.
Since the event began in 2008, the International team has a small 7-5 series lead over the Western European squad.
