World Championship Parent/Child 2024 - Girls
The World Championship Parent/Child is a chance for parents to team up with their young player in a fun, modified scramble format. The 9-hole event will be a tee time start on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024.
Registration: Registration for the Girls event will open for all registered World Championship participants on Friday, June 14th. An invitation with registration information will be sent on Thursday, June 13th informing participants of the specific date and time of opening. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be limited at each golf course. If you register for the World Championship after June 14th and would like to compete in the Parent-Child, please contact tournaments@uskidsgolf.com.
Adult partners must be at least 18 years old and cannot compete with more than one junior golfer. Please see the attached instructional page should you have any questions when registering: Adding a Parent
Follow the steps in the link below to register the parent/guardian as the players teammate:
*Players must be signed up for the World Championship to be eligible to compete in the Parent/Child event.
Cost: $175 per team. Entry fee includes greens fees for two players, golf cart, lunch for players, tee gift and awards.
Start time: Tee times will be posted 2 days prior to the event.
Format: Modified Scramble – Only parents will tee off on three designated holes and only kids will tee off on three designated holes. Competitors will scramble for the remainder of each hole. Both players will tee off on all holes not designated and select the best tee shot.
Age Group Yardages: Yardages for players and Parents/Guardians will be available the day of the event.
Awards: Trophies will be presented to the 1st and 2nd place teams in each age group.
Tiebreaker: U.S. Kids Golf Scorecard Playoff will be used to break ties for all awards. Winner will be determined on the basis of the team score on the last nine holes, last six holes, last three holes and finally the last hole. If the teams are still tied, continue backward from the last hole until a winner is determined. (The “last nine holes, last six holes, etc.” is considered to be 10-18, 13-18, etc.)
