European Van Horn Cup 2024
2024 European Van Horn Cup Teams
Official Results
Overview
Following the three-day championship, qualifying boys and girls from each age group from 11 to 14 years old are selected to play in the Van Horn Cup, a one-day best ball tournament on North Berwick Golf Club.
Selection Procedure
Participants will be selected based on their score after 36 holes (Round 2). Once 36-hole scores are compiled, the European Van Horn Cup selections and an alternate list will be published. The top four players in each age group (Ages 11 to 14) will be selected, seeded, and given team assignments for the event.
Format: Team Best Ball Stroke Play
In each match, the team with the lowest score after 18 holes will win one point for his/her team. A playoff will determine the winner if the competition ends in a tie.
Awards:
Awards will be presented to the winners of each match. After the event, the Van Horn Cup trophy will be presented to the winning team.
The Morrison Medal:
Each year, the boys and girls pairings with the lowest rounds in the match were awarded a Morrison Medal, named in honor of the late Sir Garth Morrison, who was Lord Lieutenant for East Lothian, and his wife Lady Gill Morrison.
